Terms of Service
Effective date: May 13, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using the DevNet service (“Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. DevNet reserves the right to update these Terms at any time; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
2. Description of Service
DevNet provides a secure localhost tunneling service that exposes local development servers to the internet via a public subdomain on devnet.sh. The Service includes a command-line interface (CLI), a web dashboard, and a relay server infrastructure.
Features include per-device connection approval, configurable TTL expiry, IP whitelisting, password protection, email invites, and audit logging.
3. Account Registration
You must create an account to use the Service. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or guardian's permission.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Transmit or expose illegal content, including but not limited to child sexual abuse material, malware, or content that violates applicable laws
- Conduct phishing, fraud, spam, or social engineering attacks
- Distribute malware, ransomware, spyware, or other malicious software
- Perform unauthorized penetration testing or exploit third-party systems
- Mine cryptocurrency or conduct computationally abusive activity
- Resell, sublicense, or offer the Service as a competing product without written permission
- Attempt to circumvent plan limits, rate limits, or access controls
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service or its infrastructure
- Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation
DevNet reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these prohibitions, at its sole discretion and without prior notice.
5. Plans, Billing & Payments
Free plan
The Free plan is provided at no cost and includes 1 concurrent tunnel, a 15-minute maximum TTL, and 2 GB of bandwidth per month. Free plan features may be modified or discontinued at any time.
Pro plan
The Pro plan is billed monthly at the rate displayed at devnet.sh/#pricing at the time of purchase. Your subscription renews automatically each month until cancelled. Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize DevNet to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.
Cancellation & refunds
You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time from the billing portal. Access continues until the end of the current billing period. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial months, except where required by applicable law.
Plan limits
Bandwidth usage resets on the first day of each calendar month. If you exceed your plan's bandwidth limit, tunnels will return a 429 error until the period resets or you upgrade. DevNet reserves the right to adjust plan limits with 30 days' notice.
6. Tunnels & Subdomains
Tunnel subdomains are randomly assigned and non-transferable. DevNet does not guarantee subdomain availability or persistence between sessions. Subdomains may be reassigned after expiry.
All tunnels have a mandatory TTL (time-to-live). Tunnels automatically expire at the end of their TTL. DevNet may forcibly close tunnels that violate these Terms or consume excessive resources.
7. Intellectual Property
The DevNet software, CLI, website, relay infrastructure, and all associated intellectual property are owned exclusively by DevNet. The source code is made available for review purposes only under a proprietary license — you may not copy, modify, distribute, or use it to build a competing product without express written permission.
You retain full ownership of any content transmitted through your tunnels. You grant DevNet no rights over the content of tunneled traffic beyond what is technically necessary to provide the Service.
8. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
DevNet does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from loss of data. Use of the Service is at your own risk.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DEVNET SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
IN NO EVENT SHALL DEVNET'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO DEVNET IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR (B) $50 USD.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless DevNet and its affiliates, officers, and employees from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or any content you transmit through the Service.
11. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from the dashboard settings. DevNet may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, non-payment, or for any other reason at its sole discretion.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Sections 7, 8, 9, 10, and 12 survive termination.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction.
